The world’s toughest triathlon is coming to Ambleside! It involves a 2.4 mile swim in Windermere starting from Waterhead, then a 112 mile cycle ride following the route of the Fred Whitton sportive. Finally, the contestants run from Ambleside to the top of Scafell Pike and back, which is 26.4 miles in distance and 5,000 feet of elevation. Contestants are coming from all over the world to take part!
