Centred on Ambleside, this is a long-weekend festival at the end of September celebrating the fells around the town. There will be guided walks of all grades, wild swims, cycles, ghyll scrambling, abseiling, illustrated talks by well known Lakeland characters, outdoor films, music, comedy, special menus in local restaurants and cafes, live music and comedy. It will start on the evening of Thursday Sept 22 and continue until the end of Sunday Sept 25. Organised by Love Ambleside. Patron: Alan Hinkes – mountaineering legend.
